I think it's in another thread, where someone said they would be available in February, so you should be able to order anytime now. Have you checked with a dealer?
I want one too!! I just got an 06 F-150 from my dealer, and it says that the FLARESIDE is going to be available with the SuperCrew AND 6.5 ft. bed!! THAT is what I want!! I want an FX4 SuperCrew w/ 6.5 bed, and the Lariat Luxery package!! Oh yeah!! That catalog says Winter for the 6.5 ft. bed.
They're making it tough on me to wait it out. Just got a thing in the mail today for an extra $750 bonus cash (on top of any other rebates) that's good through 1/14/06. I doubt I'd be able to get a 6.5' bed on a screw by then though. May have to think about the 5.5' bed. Guess I'll see what they do starting tomorrow for new incentives.
Man, I knew there was a reason why I didn't put down the mula for a '05 S-crew, maybe it was because of the '02 S-Crew with the 5.5' bed that I used to own. I was always kicking my self every time I opened the endgate.
I like being able to close the end gate with my 4 wheeler in the back like I can on my F250.
I might have to give the '06 SuperCrew with the 6.5' bed a look!
Well I was told I can order one now, but they're still not sure when they're starting Job#2 - anyone know for sure? They say it'll probably be in January.
Hope the rebates stay after the first of the year.
jdew1920, Is a dealer telling you they can submit an order for a SCREW w/6.5' box? I have heard sometime in December until an order could be placed. Thanks
Today is the FIRST day that the Ford system would let me enter an F150 SuperCrew with the 6.5-foot box. The base price is $300 more retail, at least on an XLT. Production should start in early December.
Jeff - how do you know early December for production? Is that coming from Ford? Only reason I'm asking is that my salesman, who is also my uncle, was telling me they would find out this week but he was guessing after the first of the year - then again I think he really didn't know.
When trying to order this vehicle on CONCEPS up until today, a message would pop up stating, "!50-inch wheelbase model available Job 2 production (early Dec)."
Job 2 start date for Expedition and Navigator had been December 5th, but was changed to December 14th. Since nothing else changed its Job 2 start date, then I have to assume that Job 2 F-150s begin production on December 5th.
I have an 04 with the 5.5 bed. Get the bigger bed. 5.5 is simply to small. The Toyota commercial hits the mark on this. Ford should make the 6.5 standard and then offer a discount for the 5.5 (take the $300 off).

That Toyota commercial cracks me up -- who sells 6' long 2x4's? I also like the one that you need traction control to pull a boat out of the water. . .
The traction control is really funny. I have limited slip on my 150 ... They make it seem like it doesn't exist. With that being said, I have never met a person that didn't love their Tundra. However, most (read all) of them are not deployed as work trucks.
