When Im coming to a stop in my truck it has very bad vibration until I left off of the pedal...Its really bad when your braking downhill.....I was thinking it might be rotors that need to be turned or maybe the rotors are warped?? Any advice on what to do or what the problem is would be appreciated
It does sound like the rotors are warped. You did not say what year or type of truck but I am on the third set of front rotors for my 02 E-350 with 47K miles, my son just had his changed on his truck with 25K on that one. Looks to me that Ford just may have some kind trouble with the later mod trucks. My 98 F-150 with 97K miles has the original brakes still going strong. Just had them checked and still looked good.
you should be able to have the rotors turned at a brake shop, if they arent too worn. my truck was doing the same thing till i machined em. it was like the truck was trying to throw me out the window.
I think ill turn em myself this wednesday...My high school has a shop day every month for the guys in the automotive program, and Ill think Ill use their brake lathe
