Supercab Drip Rails
Supercab Drip Rails
Do you think I could get Crewcab drip rail moulding to fit a supercab with a little trimming. I found a guy with some supercab drip rail moulding but it's scratched up and he wants $50 + $28 to ship it. Seems a little high to me.
Seems High to me too. Considering your taking a gamble on getting them to fit. Not mention possible damage in shipping for such a large but delicate item. Keep looking something will turn up.
Assuming the down angle behind the door was the same, I suppose you could cut them a little long and then try and shape the front. Would take considerable patients. What about triming and then welding/shaping the front end? and then buffing it? How about extending a regular cab piece by welding two pieces together? You would have to be good at welding aluminum and then polish the whole thing. A lot of work though. I thought I read a while back that Dennis Carpenter was considering making these? It may have been a crew cab item I can't recall for sure.
Excellent.....all good things come to those that wait...
Did you attempt to modifiy the other ones already or did you put off doing it?

I put it off. I was trying to find a nice set on ebay or in the classifides. But they were either scratched up or they wanted too much money for them. This is great, I love dennis carpenter.
