so like everyone else I'm trying to find drip rail moldings for my 78 supercab. My question is has anyone tried cutting down club cab molding to fit there supercab? Any advice will help thanks.
We normally use the terms like Regular Cab, Super Cab (looks much like an "extended cab", and thats a term used on today's newer trucks), and a Crew Cab (4 door).
It's an interesting idea. Were you thinking you could cut it precise enough to just but the ends together or would you try to braze them somehow? Did you find a source for new crew cab trim? I pulled a set off a parts truck, and think I will be able to salvage them.
The used set I have turns in about a 1/2" at the front end. You'd have to figure out a way to bend. Alternatively, I guess you could just cut it straight.
Please post results if you give it a go. This is one of those special supercab items that no one makes.
