I have recently had a little problem develop on my 1992 Ford Ranger. I seems to lack a little power. It doesnt have the go like it used to. And occasionally, when Im climbing a hill, it will jerk like it is not getting enough fuel. It doesnt happen all the time, just every other hill or so. Could this be caused by the fuel filter. Im sure its due for a change. Here is the info on my ranger.
how many miles? auto or manual? when was the filter changed last? what kind of gas do you usually go with? change tire size? injectors could be dirty. spark-plugs? i could go on forever. reply!
I would start with a tuneup, including all filters, testing the fuel pressure and pulling the codes. If you don't know how to pull the codes see the link on pulling the eec-iv codes in the tech info thread at the top of this forum.
