1992 ford diesel sputtering
I just bought a 1992 f-250 I assumed was a 7.3 but maybe a 6.9? 5 spd manual. .Its got 114,000 miles. Its a clean well taken care of truck. Guy had all the maintenace records and all. I went back home to eastern colorado last week from utah and had problems. When I was climbing hills it would start shaking like my front end was messed up but i looked in my mirror and saw white smoke pouring out pretty good. Then it would start losing power also. It would do it for a couple minutes and then be fine. Plenty of power. Did this a few times. I'm thinking it was this new low sulfur fuel. I put in some regular diesel and changed the fuel filter again. It only had a few hundred miles on it and seems to be fine. Any ideas? What problems are these trucks known for? What other things should I watch out for? Thanks
