Hey guys i had a question about my truck (2000 psd cc sb) my a/c only works on high and not on low or medium. Is this some sort of relay problem or is it a fan problem? any help is appreciated....thanks in advance
Most likely as stated it is the blower motor resistor. The same thing should happen when the heat is on. The fan will only work on high. Try it on heat setting too. I do not know where it is located on your truck but the typical location is under the hood next to the blower motor on the heater box. Follow the wires from the blower motor and you will find the resistor. I think it is a 3 wire plug. It looks like a little plate with 1 screw holding it on. The resistors are on the inside side of the heater box so air gets blown across them to cool them off.
thanks guys for all the help. sorry i didnt reply sooner ive had the truck in the shop twice this week for the rear main seal leaking and i looked tonight and its still dripping!! well thanks to all that helped
