Are C6 and E4OD bolt pattern the same?

Have a C6 behind a 351m (and I don't really care what the m stands for)on my 78 F250. I am looking at putting in a 12v Cummins and have found an adapter for the C6 and the E4OD. I would like to put the engine in with the C6 and then put in a rebuilt/ modified E4OD later to spread out my costs. When I am ready, I would like to unbolt the C6 and slide in the E4OD. Does anyone know about the bolt patterns, what about the overall lenght, for driveline resizing?
