OD button not working

I have a 99 f-350. All of a sudden my OD-D button on the end of the gear selector does not work. It won't kickdown. My hypertech does not show any DTC's. Any ideas on how/what to check for for this repair?

switch is bad. and might have to replace it. did mine in less than a hour and got out real cheap from the dealer

the small wires break at the base of the lever in the column. i have repaired mine rather than replace them. pretty easy. just take the covers off the column and drive out the pin holding the lever in then unplug the wires and solder them or some other means of repair then put it back together after you have tested it.
