I was thinkin of one of those vacume testers that you pump by hand and it has a gauge on it.

Okay, I put my mighty-vac on it today and was able to draw 5 inches of vacuum and it did not leak down until I released it. Please tell me that means the booster is good...I could use some good news!

That would be my best guess Vern, Theres not a whole lot elce going on in those boosters. Sounds like its good to me.
