Try this. Go to User CP and click on "Edit Options". About halfway down the page in the "Thread Display Options" section there is a check box that says "Show Signatures". Make sure that is checked and then scroll down and click on "Save Changes". Let me know if that fixes the problem.

Works fine for me. I read the entire rebuild article the first night I joined. Any progress on "Earl"? I haven't seen any new pics in there lately.

BTE: is it George Earl or Earl George?

No updates recently, I'm planning some work on Earl but I keep ending up moderating some forum I got sucked into ...

Ahh...been there once years ago and doing it again somewhere else now. I didn't learn my lesson the last time.

Are you the only mod on this forum? You need to elect an assistant who knows these trucks really well. Anyone that you would like to nominate?

George,

I emailed you recently about the signature problem. I did what you said and it still doesn't work. My signature shows up in the preview but not in the actuall post.

Hmmm, I guess I could take that a couple different ways. Moderators are selected by the administrators, not by lowly moderators like me. If anyone is interested, there is a thread in the Site Announcement Forum asking about members interested in moderating.

FTE has grown at an incredible rate the last couple of years and is now one of the top few sites in it's category on the web. The administrators are working very hard to keep it a fun place to visit while still keeping some semblence of order. Part of that is being very selective about moderators (how I got asked I'll never know ). There is a thorough review process and it can take some time to make sure a candidate meets all of the requirements.

Our little corner of the world (the 1948-1960 Forum) is one of the busiest on FTE with over 100,000 posts. I'm still amazed at how quickly questions get answered here - even unusual questions. This is one of the best groups of people I have had the pleasure to hang out with.

To answer your original question, I have asked for a second moderator for the forum and the administrators have it on their to-do list.

I am not sure how you took that (no clue), but I was just asking if you nominted them or they were asked by the administrators. I thought that you had a buddy of yours in mind or something. Still don't know how you took that. Now I know. At least its on the to do list. You need help.

I know this place is huge. Its hard to believe I have not found it (or even heard of it) before with all the time I have spent on ford websites (about 5 years). I didn't find it until I was looking for 56s.

Brian, just teasing. I could have read it as I needed someone who "knows these trucks really well" because I don't have a clue about them. That's not to say I'm an expert by any means.
