good choice with the saw, at work we use Partner brand saws (excellent saws)! I see you got a 16", hope you checked out the 14" saws as well. They cut much faster, a lot lighter for cutting above your waste, and generally perform much better. Also, the blades are cheaper. Just my two cents

The saw I got is a Partner, a 1250 model. It is the most powerful they could get for me. Most of my work is patching asphalt,or concrete. I have access to a 12 electric saw to borrow if I have to cut up high. I also bought a cart and water bottle for the saw. I needed 16" to get a 5 1/2" deep cut. I also bought two extra belts and two diamond blades, so I think it will last for a while.
