shorty vs long headers

shorty vs long headers

will long headers give me more hp than shorty headers or is it about the same?i want to put headers in my 95 250 4x4 351w.

Long tubes provide more tq where its needed, and shorty's give you high end hp. I am getting long tubes next truck I do.

Depends where on the tach you want that horsepower. Generally, long tubes are the best bet, because if designed right they will give gains everywhere. Be sure to pay attention to primary tube sizes and collector style because they will also play a part in where max HP is made.

Reputable manufacturers will show you hp and torque curves, with their headers and without. This is not something you can generalize about because the quality of design means everything.
