does anyone make a st of shorty headers for 400 in a 4x4 truck.

I've been looking for these as well. I found some from Sanderson but can't speak to their quality. Try this:

I don't know about those particular headers but every sanderson header I have seen has been of good quality.

I have those very headers on my 400. They are very good quality. They are made for a 351C in a '53 through '56 Ford pickup like mine. I would check with Sanderson about using them in a 4x4.
