Transmission access cover ?
I have a '77 F150 custom with a 3 speed on the column. I wanted to convert to a NP 435 but this truck doesn't have a removable transmission hump cover. My '78 F150 had one and I was curious why this truck doesn't. What does one do in this situation? Is sawing the floor along the stamped lines acceptable.I have a cover and all associated parts.

Hi Tom, You can cut a hole for the shifter and boot or cut enough for the new cover. Either way would work.

Do it right, cut around for the whole cover, deburr the edges, make it look factory.
