Need a part number for late model 332 truck engine (62-63) distributor. I am upgrading my '57 332. This distributor has both vacuum and centrifugal advance. If I had a part number it might help me locate one.
the part number is 302807 fits all FE engines with single point dizzy's runs 39.99 plus core www.kragen.com . if you try to find this by searching for a 332 in a catalog you will never find it because its not common so you have to use the more common 360 or 390 to find your parts.
That 332 isn't an FE. I think it's the truck variant of the Lincoln Y-Block. It isn't a MEL either, but I bet someone at the MEL page would know and wouldn't mind helping you out...(search MEL 383 410 430 462)
Eric
Yes, that series Y block came out in 1952 and ran thru 1963 when the FE came out. Yes, it is basically the same as the Lincoln, but most displacements are different. There are four displacements, 279, 317, 302 and 332, not all in the same year. A Ford engineer corrected me when I called it a Lincoln engine, as it was developed as much for the large truck as the Lincoln. My engine is in a 1953 C750 road tractor. Thanks for the help
