This is my ride. Its a 1968 Highboy with 86,000 original miles on it. I bought it from the original owner when I was goin to school at Wyotech. he used it for a ranch pickup but the body is kinda rough. It is my daily driver these days and the 360 is getting pretty tired and uses alot of oil. I want to put a built 390 or swap in a 460 someday. It has 34" Tsl's on it with 4.10 gears. I put headers, electronic ignition and Flowmaster super 40's on it. Here's some pics of me wheelin.https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=91315&width=0
I've been a practicing ME now for 8 years and gained a master's in the process, I've reached my salary goals for my age, but not all starting ME jobs are at $80k per year, even with experience.
Good luck with school and stay out of the auto industry, it is very doom / gloom right now.
Is Yokohama hiring? they are in your neighborhood...
I've got 2 trucks. One is a 77 F-100 2wd with a 302 C4 and D44 w/ 3.50 gears and a LS. Nothing to special, but my daily driver.
My money pit, or pride and joy is a 79 Bronco with a 400 C6 NP203 f/r dana 44 open/ford 9" rear weak limited slip, both with 3.50 gears.
Right now it has a 6" lift with some 36x13.50 Irocs and 15x10 MT classic II.
Saving up to put in 4.56 gears aussie locker up front detroit rear, and then a engine rebuild that will hopfully push out no less than 350HP and 450ft/lbs.

Yeah, good luck with that...nepotism could get ya there though!
Most engineers put in a lot of hard work and long hours to get there.
That piece of paper will talk but it doesn't walk.
I have an 88 F250, 5.8L, supercab, LB, 4X4. I bought the truck from the original owner 10 years ago. Havn't done much to it except for a K&N filter and Flowmaster exhust. I had it painted original dark blue a couple years ago. It's been an excellent truck. Just bought a new 06, PSD, CC, LB, 4X4, Lariat. Hope to get as many care free miles as I have with "Old Blue".
i have enjoyed looking through the rides - thanks to all. new to this forum but shopping for rebuild ideas or replacement for my 78 F250 that came with the farm i recently bought - 4x4 but doesnt engage. this thing has been cobbled together for so long! i have had to run new brake lines from master and aux and any work under it always requires glasses or goggles! nothing to lose just stripping it down and tossing everything that isnt functional. my other rides are '82 fj40 landcruiser with 350 conversion and locking diff front/back on 35in bearclaws; '01 f150 supercrew 5.4L, and 1950 F1 with rebuilt stock 95hp flathead 8cyl.
i currently own(and planning for a long time) a 2004 f250 PSD sc, sb auto 4x4. its all stock right now but will mod it as soon as the finances come in. planning on a sct, exhaust for first mods, then lift, 35inch itres for second round, but first need a bed cover!
hey yall,
I've got a 1989 F-150 XLT Lariat. I bought the truck during my Junior yea in high school. I've put a new 351 W motor from the factory. Its got Ford Motorsports header. After that i've replaced many small things, alternators, starters, power window motors. Also i've overhauled the stereo system with a pioneer head unit, JBL door speakers, a planet audio sub and a zapco competition amp. After that i added a six inch superlift, 36x13.50 Iroks on 15x10 American Racing Tailgunner wheels. My most recent mods have been a flowmaster exhaust, New Paint, Truck Nuts!, and a LineX spray in bedliner with DeeZee bed and tailgate caps.
