Transfer case question
So far this site has been awesome ! It seems someone always knows the answer! " YA GOTTA LOVE IT " !
Anyway my question is :What kind of problems will i run into and what modifications will i have to do to change from a married NP203 to a NP205 transfer?

Transfer case question
Don, you will have to make sure the adspter between the transmission and your 205 is correct. Some of the adapters will work on both the 203 & 205 and some will only work on one or the other. I found one on a 1978 with a 203 and it worked for my 205. I did the changeover 2 years ago and I cannot remember off the top of my head just what the difference was but it had to do with clearance for the shifting rail on the 205. There is also 2 different lengths of adapters. one is 5+ inches and the other is 8+ inches. Just measure the length of what you have now and go with one the same length. I was also going to exchange the front drivelines but the one out of the donor truck with the 203 was longer than the one from my 205 so that may be another problem. I hope this helps a little.
