Salvage Yard finds
I havent been to that many junkyards, but i do know a good amount about the ford truck series 67-72. I was at a huge salvage yard today and went searching just for things to buy cheap then sell. I just got a few things today. I got 3 glovebox emblems, 4 door hinges, and 2 glove box hinges for 15$. I figured i can sell these things for a lot more than that on ebay. At leasat other people are . What i was wondering is if anyone knows any 'good' or rare items that will sell very good from the 67-72 or the 73-79 series, becuase i sure did see a lot of them there... i'd say about 5 67-72's and 15 73-79's. thanks
oh yea, im probably gunna look for the hood emblems next time...LMC truck has them for about 200$!!!!!!
Ok i know where the wiper switch is. Duh. What tools do i need to take them out in 67-72? or 73-79? I dont wanna take a whole tool box out there with me. On ebay someone is selling a wiper switch that claims to work on 73 to 91. He says he got it off a 84 f150. What years are the wiper switches the same as 84 so i can try to snag some. Thanks again.
Heres one - try to find good mirrors - its almost impossible to find good used ones.
Cheers!
I have acess to many, many, many 73-79 trucks here. give me some ideas of what to look for, and I'll keep my eyes open.
Email me if you want something and I will try to find. I'm done with finals after tomorrow night and will be ready to search.

This "list" sounds like a good idea.Everbodys geographic area proably calls for different items.I gave up on junkyards years ago, now I buy whole trucks. That way I can have what I need and what other want.I hooked up with this guy I met at a swapmeet last year.Went to his shop and was floored with how much stuff he had.He said there was no market for it any more, get this, he was a cement contractor!.I bought some stuff off of him but I want to go back. His loft of his shop was packed with almost everything imigianable. If you guys have something hard to find, or something you want give me a line.I get a kick just helping other 73-79 enthusiats. All the really good stuff was gone( dana 60 fronts, np-205,sheetmetal,) but he had alot more stuff to get rid of.Was gonna junk all the stuff because he was retireing, he just about made me cry when he said that.So feel free to ask or even suggest.I sell at swapmeets and love the look on peoples faces when I say" yeah, I have that".He has alot of tid bits and smaller things up in that loft heaven he has.
later ED
I also noticed that LMC stopped selling the very rare locking hood cable setup for the 73-79.
Cherry OEM tail gates are big bucks new and very hard to find as is all the various trim parts.

also, I have all the Ranger XLT trim (minus 2 small pieces) off of my truck that I'm not putting back on after the body work is done. If any of you need them, I'd be willing to part with them. I have yet to see another Ranger XLT, so this stuff is kinda rare around here.
