>I've seen a 4 door Supercab.

Are we counting the door on the side of the bed (toolbox) and the door for the glovebox too?? In that case, I have a 4 door standard cab truck!! hehehehe

>1. Tilt wheel sells for about $200

I must be lucky. I got the tilt column for my 78 for $75. It's in great shape too.

>I've seen a 4 door Supercab

Yeah, I've seen a 4 door supercab before too. I saw it in a 4Wheeler magazine a couple of years ago. The truck started out as a crew cab long box and the owner used the supercab part on the crewcab. Talk about a looooong truck! I'll look for the mag this week and try to get a pic of the truck.

Not sure if you solved the wiper switch thing yet...
I just went to a u-pull-it yard and found a wiper switch clip (I purposely broke mine taking off the dash, not thinking I would need it). Pull (hard) the **** off by hand and use a pair of plyers/needle-nose to pull the tab forward, it will slide off. I also found out that the heater ***** come off most easy with a regular pair of plyers, they will fit perfectly around the **** and press on the clip.

Why take a chance breaking the ***** when all it takes is to carry a small jewellers screwdriver with you and use it to unspring the clips.

No muss ! No fuss!

So what are '73-79 Crewcab parts worth? I found a 76 or 77 F350 2x4 with a 4spd. I need the Dana 70 rearend, booster, and pedals. The left side is straight and the right side is scraped but repairable. The only rust appears to be a hole <3/16" above the windshield.

Salvage Yard finds

I'm needing door panels for a 79 f100 ranger in the maroon/red color. Someday I'm hoping to change my single gas tank setup to a duel gas tank and I'm not even sure where to begin there but that's not until much later. If you find a good chrome back bumper with trailer hitch, I'd latch onto it. I'm looking for one of those. Tailgate handles are something to maybe look for. The place I went to east of Colorado Springs was completely devoid of them. Not that I imagine it's often found, but I'm also looking for a the windshield for my 79. The one I have is cracked up pretty bad. Thanks!

While we are adding items to the scrap yard wish list, I need a steering link (the shaft between the fire wall and the steering box) for a 78 F250 Supercab 4x4. The u-joint on mine is shot (makes steering interesting). There is not one in any of the yards around here and the local Ford dealer just laughs. If anyone has one I would be mighty interested. I was actually thinking of welding together anough bits to make one that fits.

There are a few other things that seem to be rare around where i am from that i didn't see mentioned or missed. The metal shield that holds the front plastic sattle gas tank on dual tank set ups on 78-79 F150 and F250 4x4 is very rare here, they seem to always rot out. I have been looking for one for over 2 years now with no luck, if anyone finds one if good shape let me know. The 3 spoke factory wheel is pretty rare. 78-79 Lariats are rare here. The tailgate trim thats on top, the wide think piece with the polished aluminum and the black pain as one piece is rare in good condition.

Hey I was wondering if all you have to put in for intermittent wipers is the switch. Is that correct? If so, will you see if he has one? Thanks

Not very relevant really but I just found out that my 79 has intermittant wipers. LOL! I was working on it this weekend and Dad said oh yeah did you know... The funny things you find out! My 85 and my 83 didn't have it so I was suprised...LOL. Just food for thought.
