and it stoped reconected is that good or bad
I Put New Plugs In And New Ignition Module And Pick Up Unit
When I Took The Old Plugs Out There Is No Oil On Plugs
They Where All Black
It's Not Burning Oil It Just Idies Rough And Stalls Out
I Done A Fuel Pressure Test The Psi Is Around 40
If It Was The O2 Sensors Whould The Check Engine Come On
And Detect It If Is The O2 Sensor
YOu have an over rich condition. That is what is causing your black smoke. You tested the IAC and it checked out fine. You're problem now is that the engine is flooding itself. The fuel pressure is dead on what it should be. You need to replace the o2 sensor(s), and /or the MAP sensor. They are what control how the engine burns. The MAP sensor detects the pressure or vacuum in the intake and sends that info to the computer, the O2 sensor reads the oxygen % in the exhaust and feed that to the computer, with these two measuremnts the computer can control how rich or lean the engine runs. If the O2 sensors are burnt up it thinks it's running lean all the time and goes full rich. It may or may not turn on the CEL.
Hendel, I'm glad that you finally replaced the O2 and that it solved your problem. When it happened to me, the CEL did not come on so I guess that's also your case. Just a reminder that you said earlier that you replaced the EEC-IV. I hope you didn't throw it in the trash because I think it's still good and would make a good back up some day.
