Fleetweek Is Here
It's Fleetweek here.
I just can't wait to see and hear those Blue Angels.
They're just fantastic.
I go every year to my favorite spot in the Marina and watch the show.
They'll be practicing on Thursday and Friday, with the shows on Saturday and Sunday, along with other aircraft.
So cool.
Of course we'll have some of our wonderful Stupidvisors up in arms.
Any of you have the Blue Angels show in your area?

Well, we used to have it at Willow Grove, but I don't know what the plans for that is anymore. I assume that they'll just make it back to Macguire AFB here in NJ (where I'm working)

I've had to work my share of them patrolling flightlines and flipping burgers out on the apron so many times I've been jaded over the years.
But the few times I had the chance to just kick back and watch it was one of the most wired flight displays I can imagine anywhere!
The Snowbirds are pretty wild too...

The Blue Angels fly at Andrews Air Force Base and have at Patuxent Naval Air Test Facility (PAX) every year! They fly 'June Week' for the Naval Academy, in Annapolis, too.
A couple of years ago, they were practicing for the show at Andrews, during the afternoon Rush Hour. One of those beautiful F/A 18s flew soooooooo low over Branch Avenue (parallel to Andrews) that I thought he was coming through my truck!
I thought I was gonna have to shovel out 'the mess'.
The sound of FREEDOM!!!!!!

It gives me a chance to get some fresh air, babe watch, watch the aircraft fly by, babe watch, watch the ships enter the bay under the Golden Gate Bridge, babe watch, scarf down some eats and drink some beer.
And did I mention babe watch?
There's also a car show in Golden Gate Park that same weekend.
Last year ,there were about 900-1,000 cars coming and going that were in the show. All kinds motorcycles too.
Also a comedy show elsewhere in the park.
And also the North Beach's Columbus Day Parade.
Going to be a busy weekend.
And did I mention babe watch?

Hey Sierraben, I'm in San Jose and am planning on coming up this Saturday. What time is all the stuff going down? Also, where should I park? I hear the marina itself is a rip, so I was wondering where to go? One of the downtown garages? Thanks for your help man.
