Well, after the day I had yesterday, I decided it was time to just play with my toy. I installed the defective mirror switch and then took a trip to the local muffler shop.
After cutting out that muffler and installing a straight pipe, the only expression is "Man, what a diffrence!" That old 7.3 seemed to take on a new life. I had to watch myself on the intersate. Don't know what it was, did it seem to have more power or was I just enjoying the diesel/turbo rumble. It does seem to want to cruise about 7 mph faster than before.
Hey gang, does the 7.3 with a 6 speed have a governor on the overdrive. I can tach it out in drive, but it does not want to get above 2800 on o/d. Seems about 96 is as fast as it will go.
