dome light rattle

2004 fx4 scab 3.73 - Anyone else have this annoying dome light rattle when driving over rough pavement. It feels like the whole fabric coverded ceiling is loose. Anyone fixed this themselves?

I have it on my 05. taking it in under warranty. I think it's actually the power cable that runs to the light, and it's not properly secured to the roof/headliner, so it rattles on rough pavement.

I had this many moons ago... it turns out the factory left an extra screw up there. I couldnt find it, but the dealer got it out.

Hello,
Just bought an 04 FX4 and it has this same problem. Something is loose above the headliner. Rattles when you shut the doors or hit a bump. Did you ever get this fixed? Thanks.

No and it's driving me nuts. I refuse to take it back to the dealer for something so simple, but I haven't had a chance to take the ceiling out. Maybe this weekend. I will let you know.

There's a TSB on it, but I don't know the number. It has to do with the glue between the foam block and headliner not adhearing, I think.

I have a small rattle somewhere... I did take my truck in for the sliding rear window TSB, but some sort of rattle is back. It's annoying since the truck is so quiet inside.

I'll have to see if it is the dome light.
