2004 Ranger tailgate hinge removal

I'm getting really frustrated with trying to remove the two bottom "hinges" on my tailgate. The cable and lock bolts were a piece of cake, but the two at the bottom have already stripped one Torx tool with a ratchet and my impact driver with a brand new socket won't even them. Any ideas or secrets to share?

Welcome to FTE!!!

Why are you trying to remove the hinges?

To remove the tailgate you drop it half way and lift the right side out, then the left.
