Tailgate cool idea how?

So I saw 2 trucks at a car show this weekend that had done something pretty cool with there tailgates. Hinges were removed from the bottom and a hinge installed on the drivers side so that it opened up horizontally. Seat belt clasp and insert were used for securing it on the passenger side.

It looked really good and clean, but I was unable to find the owners or get a good look at the hinge they used. Anyone have an idea of what hinge they might of used?

Probably fabricated....although any simple hinge would probably work. Piano hinge, gate hinge, etc. The seatbelt latch has been used by several members here as well.

I'm one of the guys that went the "cheap" route with the seat belt buckles. Not really a new thing. I saw them first used in the early 80s.

I used seat belt latches and F150 tailgate cables.
