Hello guys,
i am going to try and clean my fuel injectors as was outlined in fordfuelinjection.com . i am having a dickens of a time trying to find pintle caps, especially since one of mine is broken. I can't seem to find pintle caps or the screens for inside the injectors. Where would i go to try to find these items? all the aftermarket stores and the local ford dealer just show replacement injectors, no parts available they say. Non-serviceable. Can you guys point me in a direction to find these items.
thanks very much all
Micheal
I got my caps from NAPA. It's in their Echlin fuel systems parts line. One kit services each injector. Kit comes with pintle cap, 2 orings, and a spacer. Sorry I don't have the part # for you. I don't know if the have the filter though?. Hope this helps
I didn't even think to try Napa! I tried a couple other auto parts stores and didn't have any luck. I went to a local Diesel parts house Called Midland Diesel, showed him the injector and he walked back and grabbed a whole hand full of pieces and charged me $17 for everything! much better than $65 per injector at any of the parts stores.
thanks guys!!!
