sudden increase in egts

2002 crew cab short box dually 4x4 7.3
took it to the stealership to get the 4x4 working through warranty
figured while its there id get an oil change and fuel filter

usually my egt runs between 400 and 800 in town depending how im driving and about 800 on the highway at 100km/h
today after the oil change and fuel filter my egts are at 950 at 100km/h

truck is stock tune right now nothing else has changed cept the oil change fuel filter and they did some work on the vacum lines for the 4x4

on a slight hill empty i can put my foot in it now and get 1150 egts now
never have i seen it over 1000

what would cause this
i thought maybe they took out my KandN filter and put a ford one in but that wasnt the cause

my pyro is in the exhaust manifold aswell

If I can hazard a quess, higher egt's are from burning more fuel, so possibly your fuel filter was really dirty or possibly the dealership changed the engine programming to something "new and improved" as part of their service causing an increase in fuel usage. Also the waste gate is vacuum controlled, so if they repaired a problem with the vacuum system, it might have impacted it's operation.
