i have a 2001 7.3 , went out to start this morning, started good. went and had a shower to let her warm up, came out and it had stalled?? tried again and no start. hooked up programmer and got these codes. p1249,p1212,p0340,p1211 any body have a list of codes so i could check these out. thanks any help would be appriciated.
P0340- CMP sensor circuit malfunction
P01211- ICP not controllable - pressure above/below desired
P01212- ICP voltage not at expected level
P01249- wastegate fail steady state test
i let it sit for awhile and tried to start it again and the batteries are dead??? could this be the problem causing all the codes??? any help would greatly help my battle.lol thanks again
im just hoping the code i read is a old code from when i had the cps changed earlier this year. im going to try and find the cps and remove it and test it out before getting a new one lol.
hey everybody just thought id throw in my 2 cents this is my first post on here but ive been reading ford-trucks for a while im a diesel tech at a ford dealership i pulled my truck in yesterday after work for the same reason after hooking it up to the WDS i pulled B1483 which is a body code for the brake on/off switch abnormal signal B1203 which is fuel sender circuit short to batt PO 340 and PO 344 and a whole bunch of overboost codes usually when i need to replace a cmp is has the 340 and the 344 which are both cmp codes there are other circumstances when only one code will be present and the sensor will not always need to be replaced its kinda 50/50 it might need replaced or it migh be some other problem. if you took it to a ford dealership the codes should have been cleared its part of the process to verify the correction so it might be a new code- just my 2 cents
charged batteries and tried to start. fired right up but runs very very rough and wont idle up much.im way overdue on oil service, could this be a problem with proper oil pressure signal?? any ideas peeps, i really dont wanna do the cps if no need but will if i have too.
thanks all
just a thought, have you checked the injector harness that plugs in on the top side of the valve covers? mine did this and i had to replace them. sometimes you get dirt in there and can clean them to get a good contact.
