Removing radio, broken clips, how to remove dash in Excursion?
I may be changing the radio in my Excursion. I have a removal tool, but the tabs/clips on one side have already been damaged. I have tried and tried to get radio out with no luck. Is my only option removing the dash? If so what is the process and how hard is it. I posted in Excursion forum, but no replys. Thanks.

It's a pain in the butt. My tabs on my '00 stereo busted when I was trying to pull it out. I ended up pulling the dash and sticking a long screwdriver in the back and pryed it out. You can try some small finishing nails and see if that pulls the tab in some, but more than likely you'll have to pull the dash (at least as far as my experiences go). I don't know how the Exc's dash pulls out but my SD just pulls straight out, no tricks or anything. You might even try posting down in the audio forum as well. Good luck.
