Is the truck running sluggish with a rough idle? Is the check engine light on?

If so, pull the ICP (Injector Control Pressure) sensor wire connector, clean and make sure that good contact is being made. That code will set if it is reading out of range (either high or low).

really runs fine. never noticed any difference when the light would come on except after i installed the predator on 40hp and it seemed my boost stoped at 25 and my egts held at 1250-1300 wot empty light came on. reloaded stock tune then 40hp tune and no light but gets higher boost and egts will keep climbing past 1300 real easy. i dont get that at all????

Exclamation

From my reading of previous threads, 1300+ is approaching the cooking point.

Are you running stock exhaust? If so, anytime you add more fuel, the EGT will climb. My understanding of the Predator is that it will boost the fuel pressure, the sensor will pick up the boost (high) and set the 1211 code. The sensor is working right. It is letting you know that the system is out of sinc. It seems that the upgrade would inform the ECM that the fuel pressure is going to be raised and reset the ICM to a higher value. Some part of the code apparently did not get set right with the kit.

I would definately watch the EGT. A meltdown is very expensive.

Also, I suggest that you contact Predator and hopefully they will steer you in the right direction.

OK gang, I need some help here out of this one.

Your EGT should not run that high with a 4". Something is not in sync. As earlier stated, call Predator and find out why.

Then the code is cutting fuel a little. I too have felt a little less boost with the code set. The reason your EGTs are high, is unburned fuel is still burning in your exhaust manifolds. You are not getting enough air to burn enough of the fuel. You should let off the accelerator when you get to 1250. Drive by the pyro whenever you are pedal to the metal.

He doesn't have a 4'' exhaust....

The btm on his stock pipes is supposed to flow 80% of the capacity of a 4'' system, is what he's getting at.

I'd load the stock tune up and run it a bit to see what your guages are saying, and then I'd scan for codes.

I seriously doubt a problem with the predator, but stranger things have happened.

Do you have the most recent upgrade for your Predator?
