Dash lights are not functioning.
Still have more than a few hanging wires leftover from the painter, he pulled the guages and did not mark the connections, then primed and painted the wires a nice color blue, matches the truck prefectly.
All blulbs replaced, Switch has been replaced.
Constant voltage regulater has been replaced, (fixed gas and ammeter guage, oil pressure guage still not working) (I have the two extra guages that came with camper special)
Fuse? Which one?
Ground?
Any and all troublshooting suggestions will be appreciated.
The law is going to take excpetion to my speed variances at night soon I'm sure.
thanks
Brian
Brian,
If you used Polyurethane, or Epoxy based Paint disregard this.
But if you have any other type of paint, clean enough of your wires using Lacquer Thinner and a rag, or steel wool, in a well ventilated area, so you can get an idea of what's what with which wire.
Otherwise it's T&E while you guess at what you have, . . . . . Or don't have.
T&E= Trial & Error, [worst way I know of to work on electrical problems]. . . .
I can't find my scanner I have absolutely no idea where it's at. It was supposed to be under the dresser....I'll keep looking but I don't think I can scan the diagram tonight
Also have the plastic instrument cluster with sweep spedo and found running ground strap from metal section of instrument cluster to frame helped. Also, use dielectric grease at same time. Paint may be causing some resistance. Took sand paper and cleaned all grounding areas on frame and connectors throughout truck.

perhaps a dumb question, the interior light is not connected, anyway that might be part of the issue? Guess I can connect it and eliminate the theory....hate wiring!
thanks for the suggestions
Brian
Not sure how much help this will be....I didn't notice until I scanned the diagram that it is the round speedo and not the sweeping speedo. But I'll give the url anyways. I also scanned the ignition circuit just for the heck of it
Copy~n~paste the urls in order for them to work. Then right click and save as.
