Transmission filter

can anyone tell me if my 2003 F-250 6.0 psd with 5 spd automatic has the external filter and if so where is it located?

Follow the transmission line along the frame rail and you will see it. Towards the front on the passenger side.

When facing the front of your truck, it will be next to the passanger side radiator side . It is a small cylinder looking think with a plastic nut modled into the cover. It is the size of a roll of toilet paper. It may be hard to unscrew, but the whole canister will unscrew and the filter and fluid will be inside.

Very easy to change out.
