'71 tie rod end problem

I have a dead inner tie rod end. 1971 2WD. The problem is: in Australia the Ford factory attach an Australian I.D. plate which does not contain the serial No. that would appear in the states. I have a catalog from LMC which tells me that the part could be one of two possiblities, identifiable by the serial # which I don't have. I need another solution to identify the correct part. Any alternative suggestions? I have also read with interest, some forum feedback regarding purchases from LMC. Some of the comments are not kind. Any thoughts for a new player?

The edit feature is only good for about an hour after you post - after that you can not edit your post. For instance, you can't edit your original post now. The edit button will disappear when it times out.

I suggest you post a picture of your part, maybe someone can identify it as being the same on their truck.

As to LMC, I have never had a problem with them.
