egt gauge problem!....
I just had an egt gauge installed today(not sure the name but it has white face and came in a yellow box). Any ways, it reads good and lights up with the dash....but their is a big prop with the 'itergrated trailer brake I have. Everytime I push the brakes the "TRAILER FAILURE" comes on the dash, when i put my right signals on the word 'trailer failure' flashed with the sgnal, but not when i put on the right side. What could this be? Anyone else have a prob like this? The guy who installed it can't find anything that would cause this problem. I think he conected one wire to the dimmer, and one to a ground. I'm at a loss... I don't want to go to the dealer yet as they will most likley blame the gauge and be done with me.

If the problem started right after the install, I don't think there is any doubt it was the fault of the installer. I don't want to knock the installer, but a lot of these guys are untrained about anything on your truck, and there is a lot of complicated electronics in the dash
