I'm 6'-4" (193 cm). I plan on having my legs shortened.

As far as the people room in these Ol' Trucks, it's a combination of phenomen and years of sitting unused.
The steering wheel expansion is due to the material used in the late 40's thru the 50's. The componnd, known as "Bakelite". was designed to absorb or adsorb moisture from the palms of the individuals driving the truck, Mr. Ford knew that these were working folks back then and would have sweaty hands. When these trucks were parked for a long period the steering wheels dehydrated and now thta they are once again being used the steering wheel are once again expanding, that and the increase of todays person make for a tighter fit.
The seats were also designed as above but the material there was/is sesel the straw like material between the seat material and the seat springs.
We were fortunate that Mr. Ford did not use naughahid in the seats, when that stuff dehydrates and the regenerates things can get real uuguly.

Dick,

I knew there was a logical explanation and we only had to wait for your intelligent interpretation of the logic.

Thank you.
