77 power steering problems

I changed the power steering hose now when the truck sitting there in park i can start to turn the steering wheel and let go the wheel will keep going till it hits the stops in both directions. is it the pump, steering box or did i do something wrong? help

77 power steering problems

Sounds like the box is bad.may just have something in the control valve,but it would probably never work its way out.So I would just change the box.
