Can you go into more detail about what wires you spliced into on the factory lighter socket?
Does the extra lighter socket have a built-in fuse? I bought one from radio shack with the built in fuse but it stopped working. I have an extra one without the fuse and have yet to install it. Just wondering if I'll have any issues with a "fuseless" socket.

I was wondering if this is the adapter that allows you to hook XM directly into your stereo controls? If so, has anyone used the stereo controls to operate XM and how well does it work? The Visteon website says you can control satellite radio form the stereo if you have the aux button.I know you have to have an XM receiver to get reception.
