There is nothing redeeming about a Dodge, except for the Cummins engine, and even that is not without its problems. The trans belongs in a Neon, and compare the front end with the new, or old SD, light years behind.
Go figure, Ford is by FAR the best selling light truck out there, there must be a lot of idiots out there who know absolutely nothing about trucks to make this so. But on the other hand, whoops gotta stop myself, no politics.
Now go back and report to your commander, that us earthlings are not as dumb as you thought they were.
I have always owned fords and had good luck with them, once I took a chance and bought a GMC 1500 01 , 1 year old, had nothing but problems,
20K miles, .. 1) intake leaked and melted down a cat converter
2) window motor died, driver side, wife had to drive home in 0 degree weather
with the window down. had that fixed and noticed passenger side barely going up and down.. Spoke with several GM owners, trucks and vans,
response, OH that problem has been going on for 5 years or more, may seem minor but the window motor alone was like $380 , wthout labor. Ford would not let a stupid problem go on and on like this. Thats why they have recalls they want to fix / stand behind thier product. Yes the 6.0 has had problems but they will be fixed. Last resort was the truck wouldnt start anymore in cold weather, even plugged it in, previous owner orderd it with block heater, still no go.
This was the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned. I will not leave ford again unless they start putting out junk..
So you think if I go to a Dodge site register and start making "my opinion" comments about how unreliable they are...how poorly designed they are ….I will get any flak form it...what is your thinking on that one
Tim I think we've both made our points here. I respect your opinion. Lets just agree to disagree and move on...
I don't own a 6.0 or a diesel of any kind today, I just wanted to share this. MY WIFE AND I WENT TO LOOK AT A NEW FORD F350, WE WERE LOOKING AT ONE IN PARTICULAR, the salesman came up to us asking if he could answer any questions, we asked a few, then I said to him, "I haven't heard to many good things about the 6.0 diesel" his reply," we are having alot of trouble with them." That ended that, my wife looked at me and said I don't like Dodge but that might be our only choice if we want a diesel.
Why would you buy something you didn't like, let alone lend any credence to what a salesman had to say (you think maybe he saw the movie Liar,Liar). A friend of mind looked around to purchase a diesel powered light truck, and he didn't like the way he was treated at the local Ford dealer, so he went out and purchased a Dodge.
Now that is one of the dumbest things I ever heard, his decision had absolutley nothing to do with the merits of the vehicle. Do you want to be in the majority, or the minority, and Dodge is the poorest seller of the three.

I agree with 3/4'r , I wouldnt buy a inferior truck because a salesman treated me badly, I would ask to see the service manager and let him know how I wasnt treated right by one of his salesman. If I didnt get anywhere with him I would talk to the owner. If he didnt seem to care I would never step foot on the property again. There are many ford dealers out there..
boy this topic is a little heated. hear let me throw a little gas in the fire.
remember the infamous cummins dowl pin ? when that baby went every thing was destroyed. granted that was a while ago but still was a PROBLEM.
transmissions are always haveing issues. and the cabs are crappy no room in the rear there crew cab should be called an extended cab. as far as chevy goes when did they bring back the elcamino? and make it four wheel drive .
these are just my thoughts and should be taken with a grain of salt or a sledge hammer. your choice.
