For those that needs to know
As some of you know my Sons will be taking my 89 Aero to the LA area in about a week. But that's not what this message is about.
Thinking about what I should send with them is.......It woke me up in the middle of the night....an extra TFI-IV ignition module.
I have the one on the didtributor that will go bad because of heat.
So off to the Wrecking yard to grab a couple. But I didn't have the right tool to remove them (checked before I went). Made a call to the parts store and they wanted $18.00 for one.
I said "WOW, I think that's a bit" "What's it got on it?"
(Here's what the message is about) he said that it had a torx T-20 on one side and a 7/32 hex socket on the other.
I had a couple of those sockets out of some of those cheap $4.99 scoket sets that you get for Xmas.
So I took them to my wheel grinder and made a couple of tools that worked as good or better than the $18.00 one.
I'll try to get some pictures of it up. My computer crashed and I haven't got everything installed back yet.

And you're right about taking along an extra module or brain box. I bought one on ebay a few years ago real cheap and if you are stranded on the road needing one, they are worth their weight in gold.
