500 hp fe?????
Has anyone built a 500 (or more) horsepower fe motor? I want to know what I have to do to get those numbers in mine (if not higher). It's a 360 bored 30 over right now waiting for me to get the money to finish it. A 430 stroker kit is definately going to be my rotating assembly. Would ported and polished eldebrock heads with roller rockers be the way to go? I was thinking a tripower setup for the top of it, what should i go with, tripower, dual quad, or a big 4 bbl? Is a 500(+) hp motor going to eat my drivetrain, or just my clutch? Anyone have numbers or estimates as to what I might get in the 1/4 mile? Will I be able to drive my truck around town, ie will i be able to have low end power so i can idle lower than 3 grand (assuming i can afford the gas)?
