99 Range,3.0 Flex Fuel sensor

The dealer just informed me that the flex fuel sensor is out of spec. Replacement is $750.00 new or $450.00 used and no warrenty.
Any thoughts on repair or bypassing this?

Can't bypass it, as far as I know, nobody has come up with any kind of work-around:

My bad.. i was thinking you might be able to use a resistor to bypass it, but after checking I realize the sensor emits a frequency... a little harder to reproduce...
