I was wondering how is it that you remove the chrome trim off the sides of an F150. Also will I have to save parts and how to reinstall the trim onto the same year truck that doesnt have it or any signs that it ever did.
The big chrome in the body line is held on with plastic clips. These will most likely break when the chrome is removed. The ones on the doors use the same clips but also have nuts at each end that must be removed. The cab corner pieces use a phillips screw and a push in type clip, these usually come out without breaking. You will also need the metal stubs that stick out od the truck that the molding clips hook on to. This means some drilling is involved.
If you have the small chrome that goes around the center color, they use a smaller version of the clips and are also nutted in various places. You will need studs for these too.
