My oil pressure has been lower than I am comfortable with so I removed the oil pump screen, the oil pump and the oil pressure regulating spring. When I checked the rotor clearance on the oil pump it was about twice as big as the spec calls for. I also noticed that this pump has been broken and repaired in the past. Someone brazed the thing back together, it appears to have been broken in halve. I have not been able to find a rebuild kit for this particular pump, the only contact I have so far is Egge machine company, their web page says they can rebuild my core. Is anyone aware of other vendors where I might be able to find a pump or buy parts for this one. Pumps for the V-8's seem to be very common but the pump for the six cylinder has turned into more of a challenge. Which ford tractor might have the same pump? I know these engines where popular in tractors of the day.
Thanks Earl! Did you find that info from their web page or do you have a catalog? I couldn't find it on their page but I certainly could have missed something.
Third Coast, I know of a guy in Post Falls Idaho that has a 50 226 7HA for sale. I don't know the condition, he told my brother-in-law who lives near him he want's $450.00 for it. I you want his phone number let me know and I will try to get it.

From their catalog. Gotta get it snail mail from them. They need to get into the 21st century I guess.
Thanks for the offer 51 ford fan. I think I will pass for the time being and have my pump rebuilt. Both Egge and joblot could only rebuild my existing pump. Neither had a pump in stock, I'll be shpping it off tomorrow.
