Seems to me the trans will follow the engine unless you are talking about offsetting the front of the engine only and bringing the trans back to center. I would think you would want the engine parallel to the frame rails and just move everything 2"to the right. Is this to get clearance for the steering box? Moving it horizontal won't effect the driveshaft but you will need to be sure your trans tailshaft and rearend yoke are in phase.
