THE PREMIUM ALL-SEASON, ALL- PURPOSE DIESEL ADDITIVE. NO OTHER FUEL CONDITIONER PROVIDES ALL THESE BENEFITS.

Year-round application - improves performance in summer and in winter. Reduces No. 2 fuel pour point by up to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Improved horsepower - with up to a 5 point cetane rating gain, resulting in noticeably better acceleration; fewer downshifts, etc.

Increases fuel economy - more efficient combustion and increased power can result in up to 8% improvement in MPG, thus easily paying for itself.

Easier and faster start-up - especially from cold.

Reduced smoke and particulate emmisions - cleaner burn.

Longer service intervals - detergents protect and clean injectors and help remove deposits and prevent plugging. Lubricants reduce wear of costly injection system components.

Upgrades and stabilizes fuel - No need to buy expensive blended fuel. Reduces sludge and fuel tank contaminants.

Alcohol free - Avoids corrosion and accelerated wear.

Size *8 oz. Pint 1/2 Gallon 5 gallon 55 gallon
Treatment (1:500) 30 gal. 60 gal. 240 gal. 2,500 gal. 27,500 gal.

You found a better descriptive site than I did. 5 cetane points. Did they offer a ratio by any chance.

Never mind...no need to defend them with such zeal. I think I already stated that they have a very good product. Not bashing them at all. Other than availability, my only gripe with Stanadyne is what I perceive as an attempt of marketing slight of hand.

Saw this in a product performance comparison graphic last year. Wish I could find it for you but not really worth the effort since they have an already proven product anyway.

Like I stated earlier, stay with what you believe in...not trying to convert any one here.

There is no wrong decision as long as a quality additive is being used.

Been using powerservice grey every tank in my new 05. Did second oil change and rotated my tires yesterday (6200 miles). While draining the oil, drained the HFCM again. No trash, no water, just clean diesel fuel. I did not use this in my 03 and had several HFCM's replaced for severe contamination. The drain plug did not have any corrosion on it like my 03 did either. I am now a firm believer in using a fuel additive, seeing is believing.

Just changed my oil for the second time at 7500 miles and decided to give the grey Power Service a try since I needed to fill up also. I have only driven the truck about 20 miles since fill up, so I can't tell you if it has even made it to the engine yet. On a side note I was using Amsoil series 3000 and thought my MPG was pretty good. I did an oil analysis and everything was super low including fuel and water in oil both at 0, but my silicon was high. Attributed to new motor break in. I decided to try Shell Rotella T Synthetic this oil change and the Power Service Grey since they are both available at Wally World and cost less than the Amsoil.

My truck's still pretty new. Just getting ready to hit 2000 miles on the odometer. After reading some posts on this site, began using PS Diesel Kleen on the fourth fill-up. Would have tried Stanadyne but it's not readily available while Diesel Kleen seems to be available at most retail outlets including Wally World. Even with a new truck, I noticed easier/quicker cold starts, less noise when cold, and a noticeable improvement in power (I acutally said "WOW" on the first tank with Diesel Kleen). With such a new truck, mileage gain is hard to say. However, under pretty much identical driving conditions, my mileage went from 16 mpg mixed driving to 16.5 mpg mixed driving. At first, I was just giving the PS product a 'try'. But I was so impressed with the benefit that it's going in every fill-up as long as I have this truck.

Power Service silver/grey bottle year round. Does not get cold enough here in Dallas to worry about 'winter' blend. I try ti use it every tank but have missed a tank or three over the last 12k miles.

Do you guys just drive around with it in the bed of your truck?

I bought a gallon of the diesel kleen and ran a couple tanks and liked the way it drove. I'm not using it on the 04 currently but plan to use it on the 06. How many miles should I wait before adding on a new motor?

half a bottle to a full tank, only if i run it down to nearly dry......... no scientific measuring required, dump it in.

NO change in milage what so ever tho. I do lose a bit of the great black smoke on hard acceleration

and engine runs noticably quieter.........no idea why that is.

Why yes I do drive around with it in the bed of my truck. I dump a half a qt when I fill up, usually 1/4 tank or less. Many have said that you cannot put to much in, hence the crude measurements. I would recomend running it especially in a new truck. It will stop algee from starting to form. It will NOT stop once it starts. I wish I would have used it from day 1 in my 03 psd. I had to have 3 HFCM's replaced due to sludge building up in it. Finally ran a fuel polishing kit through it and got it all out. But much easier to add it now than fight it later. The grey has an additive in it that stops algee from growing, but the white does not. If you suspect that you get some bad fuel I would run the grey even in the wintertime, along with the white when cloder temps are expected. I have drained my HFCM twice on my 05, and it has been clean as a whisle. No water, no sediment, and no sludge. I attribute it to full time use of Powerservice.

I save up the 1/2 L water bottles. Get them VERY dry with compressed air, add 10 oz. each DK and keep them in a beer bottle 6 pak. Just add one to each 20 gal, or 1/2 to 10 gal at fill up. Much easier than getting out the 96 oz jug, and the measuring cup, and the funnel each time.

Don't forget the Stanadyne Performance Formula. It's approved by GM, Ford, Deere & Navistar, among others. Can't be found at WalMart, but we have it.

I like the 12oz Stanadyne bottles. Keep 2 behind the rear seat. Pour it down to the 15 gal spot every time. Gives me 4 tanks to the bottle and buy them by the case. Started with the 2nd tank and now have 15K on it. Good Luck

I use Diesel Kleen as well. Is it OK to mix the gray and white DK and change the ratio as the temp falls?
