rough idle, 88 F350 460 EFI w/new idle control valve
I've installed a new 460 and after setting the timming, it's been running great except for the idle. This is the EFI setup not a carb.
It start hard unless I tap the gas and continues to bounce about 25~50 rpm and the engine shakes. Above idle is great and runs great both cruise and accel.
I installed new plugs, cap, rotor and tripple checked the timming and reset the computer by disconnecting the battery.
I just replaced the IAC (Idle Air Contol) valve and that didn't change anything.
Any suggestions?
I'm going to try a new fuel pressure reg and then check the EGR valve, but other than that, I just don't know what else would effect the idle.
Thanks, KarlJay.

hmmm, possibly need to set...or check the TPS (throttle position sensor) to see if it needs sweetened up, but i personally cant remember how that is done, sorry. If it runs great when its cold, then runs like crap when it warms up, it could possibly be the O2 sensor...does it have any codes??
good luck
