cigarette lighter wireing

cigarette lighter wireing

94 bronco....anyone know if there is a fuseable link in the wire for the cig. lighter cant seem to find any info on it and diagrams i have dont show the lighter connection...the fuse for it has power but no power were it connects to the lighter itself so im thinking fuseable link in line..power port is fine.....thanks in advance

As a general rule, fusible links are upstream from a fuse. There probably is a fusible link upstream from the fuse box in the picture above for that circuit, but you said you had power at the fuse, so it must be ok. How are you checking for power at the cigarette lighter port?

hi...this hole thing started when i noticed the connections for the lighter were cut and reconnecting them did no good...i re-disconnected them at the cut and useing a test light got no power from eather wire but as i said there is power at the fuse...there is no connection for a light at the cigg. lighter and the power point and glove box light work sooooooo....

Did the wire colors jive with the diagram above? I was wondering if you may have power on the lightblue/white, but may have lost the ground. You could double check this by putting the testlight on the lightblue/white, and putting the other side of the testlight on a metal piece under the dash that looks like it's grounded.

no power at the light blue/white wire but power at fuse...ground is ok as i checked it with other feeds.....
