hey guys, i was out junkin again today and scrounging parts i am going to need when i convert my truck to a supercab. i really do not know much about supercabs as i have never had one or spent anytime looking at them. i have a frame and have lined up a rust free but stripped cab. so today i found a rusty 75 custom supercab with the fullwidth back seat. are all cabs setup for either type seat? will there be holes to mount this in at the cab i am buying (it is a long ways from here and i can't look until i go get it). also this cab had some vinyl pads on the inside that wrap almost from door to door just above the seat. is this standard? i do not remember seeing this on the cab and i see that the clips are in rectangular holes. are those holes in all cabs or am i going to have to make holes? thanks, hawkrod
the rubber pad is standard.im not sure about the cabs being set up for both kinds of seats because i havent torn out any jump seats.if you need any parts email me .i have extra seats and the rubber pads
Let me jump in here with some info on SuperCabs:
First, the cabs are prepped for both types of seats, holes will be there for either, plus seat belt bolt holes too.
Second, the cabs are all prepped for the square holes for the moulding around the back, the "Custom" models DID NOT come with the moulding, but it will go right in, trim levels from "Ranger" up WILL have the moulding installed from the factory.
Any other questions about Supercabs please just ask & I'll do my best to provide a correct answer.

Thanks Supercab. I too have a supercab, F350. I was wondering about those back seats myself as I have the jump seats but was thinking of installing the bench seat. I have seen a few bench seats at the wrecking yard but wasn't sure if they would bolt in without a bunch of modifacations. The only thing I'm wondering about now is the color. Have you or anybody ever used that vinyl spray color on seats? I found a blue seat but I have a green interior. Thanks again.
There have been several topics on here about using vinyl spray dye on seats, it won't last, as seats getting regular use will wear away the dye, and make them look like crap.
I think a professional vinyl dye that is used on dashes might work, but have never tried it.
