Unhappy Carb linkage

I posted this on the 67 - 72, but thought I'd post it here, too. I have a '69 with a 300 and a 3-speed. I put on a set of PaceSetter headers and an Offy intake and a Holley 390 4 barrel carb. I having some trouble with the linkage. Is there anyone who has done this swap and has a picture or schematic of the best way to hook up the linkage? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the following is from a long (16 page document) that I wrote on my conversion after several requests for information.

Note: full document upon request to an e-mail address.

The throttle linkage on a 300 l6 is one of the longest at 31 inches and I had concerns about the throttle cable being long enough to reach the carburetor. If I used the factory cable I would need to purchase a throttle ball kit. This kit has several different size ***** and stud lengths. The ball kit is about $5.00. With the uncertainty of how long the OEM cable needed to be led me to search the net and found a company that sells cables, linkage, brackets and other throttle related hardware called LoKar. They sell mostly to the car restoration community and vehicle modifiers with stainless steel products that look very nice and function equally well. I requested a catalog from them and spoke with a support person over the telephone. With the online information and his help I chose the cable (number TC-1000EFI36) and cable bracket (number SRK-4000) for $34.00 and $20.00 respectively. The cable is a 36-inchs and would provide the length needed. The sleeve has a fixed thread fitting on one end and the other has about 2.5 inches of sleeve adjustment. The cable has a shackle and cleaves on one end and a clamp on the free end. I liked the idea of the length to play with and adjustable tension of the sleeve.

Note: the cable number may have changed but the basic description is the same!
